Premises licence alerts — for trade buyers
Buying or taking over a licensed premises? See the applications that could affect it, while there is still time to comment.
Councils publish applications for new and changed premises licences. For a trade buyer, that is due-diligence material that often appears after the deal has moved on. We read the applications each working day and gather them into a weekly CSV brief for each region.
Who it is for
People buying, valuing or taking over licensed premises: a pub, bar, restaurant, café, off-licence or shop that sells alcohol. If an application near the site asks for longer hours, an alcohol licence or late-night refreshment, you hear about it while the council's comment period is open.
It is a business service: for businesses and sole traders trading from licensed premises, not for individuals acting in a personal capacity.
The brief, as a CSV
One row per application, one file a week, in the same columns as the sample below. It opens in a spreadsheet and drops into a due-diligence pack without retyping.
- premises and address;
- what is being applied for;
- council and application reference;
- the last date for comments;
- the council's own page, so the application can be read in full.

Sample only: every detail on this page is invented. Download the sample brief (CSV); a real brief carries the council's own reference and link.
The brief lists premises and company applicants only. It never includes individuals' names.
How it works
- You choose the region of England or Wales you want covered.
- We check the licensing authority's published applications each working day.
- Applications in your region are gathered into a CSV brief once a week.
What it does not do
It does not object or make representations for you, survey a site, or give legal advice. It does not promise that every application is caught: it reads what the council publishes, and some councils publish late, only as a PDF, or not at all. Before a deadline that matters, read the council's own page.
Price by region
£19 a month per region
Every new premises-licence application in one region of England or Wales, for the last 30 days, as a CSV. One file a week. Regions follow the English regions (e.g. North West, London) and Wales.
Not on sale yet. Pressing Buy records that you would buy at the England and Wales price. Nothing is charged, no details are asked for, and no account is created.
What is counted
One view of this page and one press of Buy, each counted as an integer for the UTC day it happened. No name, email address, postcode, IP address, cookie or analytics. This page is a plain form and works with JavaScript switched off.
A view is a page load, so a link checker, a search engine or a reload is counted too. Read the views figure as indicative, not as people; presses are counted only when the press comes from this site's own page.
There is no waiting list: the test does not take an email address, so nothing can be sent to you afterwards.
